o Welcoming and greeting patients and visitors in person and by telephone, answering inquiries, and routing calls appropriately.
o Scheduling new, recurring, and walk-in patients in person or by telephone while supporting provider schedules and clinic flow.
o Checking patients in and out for appointments, completing front office tasks, and assisting with patient follow-up as needed.
o Obtaining, recording, updating, and scanning patient demographic, insurance, and required documentation into patient charts.
o Verifying insurance, copays, deductibles, and co-insurance; collecting and recording patient payments; and properly allocating payments in accordance with billing procedures.
o Balancing and reconciling revenue against posted payments, including logging and batching credit card receipts and running daily credit card reports as assigned.
o Maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting personal, financial, and health information in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and office policies.
o Maintaining the reception area, assisting patients in distress or during emergencies, and supporting a professional, patient-centered environment.
o Maintaining business office inventory and equipment by monitoring supplies and communicating supply needs appropriately.
o Supporting social media management, marketing, community outreach, and other office administrative tasks as assigned.
o Assisting with training current staff and new hires on day-to-day clinic flow and front office processes when requested.
o Following established policies and procedures, reporting needed changes, contributing to team goals, and performing other related duties as assigned.
