Job Summary

We are seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Rep for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a healthcare services contact center in Glen Allen, VA. This role is ideal for a Spanish/English bilingual customer service professional who enjoys helping people understand healthcare benefits, eligibility requirements, and enrollment options.

This assignment begins as a temporary 3-month project with the long-term intent to transition successful employees into a regular training program after project completion. Candidates will receive structured training, work with a supportive team, and contribute to an important program assisting Virginia Medicaid and CHIP members. This is a strong opportunity for candidates who are dependable, service-focused, and interested in building a career in healthcare customer support.

Key Responsibilities

- Respond to inbound and outbound customer interactions related to healthcare eligibility, enrollment, and managed care plan information.
- Provide informed, objective assistance regarding eligibility guidelines, policies, access to care concerns, and escalated issues.
- Help members understand Medicaid benefits and make informed decisions about available healthcare plan options.
- Process workflow documents such as income verification, identity verification, and other eligibility-related documentation.
- Learn and apply new policies and procedures related to state healthcare programs.
- Maintain professional, accurate, and customer-focused communication in both English and Spanish.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $17.46 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Initial assignment length: Temporary 3-month assignment.
- Class start date: July 20.
- Training duration: 2 weeks.
- Training attendance is mandatory, and no time off is permitted during training.
- Candidates should not have pre-scheduled appointments during the training period.
- Missed training time may result in termination.
- Candidates are expected to be on camera for the full training and nesting period.
- Training schedule: Monday through Friday, exact schedule to be provided.
- Post-training hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST.
- Shifts will be assigned after training is completed.
- Bring Your Own Device requirements apply, including required computer specifications, webcam, and headset.
- Candidates must sign a BYOD Attestation Form confirming all equipment requirements are met.
- Spanish/English language fluency testing will be conducted.
