This position is remote, providing flexibility and convenience, while also engaging in outpatient office settings for group therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home or group therapy sessions aimed at addressing the unique needs of children with developmental disabilities.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, by teaching essential skills such as anger management and coping strategies.
\n
• Empower youth and caregivers by enhancing their decision-making skills to address behavioral issues within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists, ensuring coherent and comprehensive support for children and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, to meet compliance standards.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings where therapists can provide insights and case recommendations.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse range of children ages 3-20, specifically those experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your expertise will be essential in understanding their unique challenges and tailoring interventions accordingly. By providing a culturally competent approach, particularly for bilingual therapists, you will foster a supportive therapeutic environment that resonates with our clients’ backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4-7 PM) with preferred flexibility on weekends.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and intervention techniques.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for in-home therapy sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n
