Process SupervisorThe Process Supervisor will direct all activities of the entire refining process of cane sugar including the receipt of liquid materials, ensuring quality standards are met through the efficient use of energy (fuel and steam), water, air, and electric power.Maintains standard production rates while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standardsLeads assigned teams in the continuous improvement processAchieves results through subordinates in a unionized environmentFive years of experience in a chemical processing, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing plant as a process/production supervisor or related experience. Previous experience supervising union personnel. Experience with and demonstrated success in leading operational excellence/continuous improvement efforts.Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred in an engineering, science, or business related field. Concentration in chemical engineering, physics, or related science field is preferred.Responsible for the supervision of union hourly employeesQuantifiable leadership skillsAbility to train othersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work overtime and rotating shiftsProficient with Word, Excel, and OutlookKnowledge of Good Manufacturing PracticesProficiency with SAP is preferredLocation of role: Chalmette, LAWe are an equal opportunity employer.
