Architect - Aviation - Senior

Your Role Gensler’s Dallas office is seeking an Architect with a passion for Aviation to join our Cities team. As a Gensler Architect, you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will translate architectural sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images, research artistic and/or technical issues as they arise, and leverage your technical acumen and Revit skills to drive client projects from concept through build in a collaborative team. What You Will Do Manage communication between the project team, client, vendors, contractors and consultants. Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions. Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks. Oversee delivery of documents with design intent and top‑notch technical quality. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, resolve complex technical/design detailing issues. Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications. Conduct on‑site observations and document site reviews. Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases. Actively participate in the financial performance of the project; review and contribute to proposals and contracts. Ensure projects conform to the contract and lead teams for successful delivery. Manage client expectations, team communication and oversight of consultant coordination. Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs. Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships. Mentor and develop project team members. Qualifications Registered Architect required. Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited program. 10+ years of related experience. Experience working on aviation projects is preferred. Expert working knowledge of Revit, 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software. Full knowledge of architectural principles/practices. Working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures. Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post‑occupancy. Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development. Excellent written, verbal, and management communication skills, including leadership, organization and client relationship management.
