Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice Litigation Associate

A established firm is looking to add an associate to its medical malpractice group. You’ll work alongside seasoned trial lawyers who represent patients and families harmed by medical errors, and you’ll be involved from the first case review through discovery, resolution, and trial.

This is a hands-on seat with real mentorship. You’ll be in the room for depositions, court appearances, and settlement discussions, and your responsibilities will grow as your skills do.

What you’ll do

• Keep clients informed and prepared as their cases move through discovery and toward resolution
• Appear in court and at conferences, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Draft complaints, discovery requests, motions, and other filings
• Take and defend depositions of lay witnesses and treating or defendant medical providers
• Help get cases trial-ready: prepping witnesses, building exhibits, writing motions, and outlining direct and cross
• Track deadlines and work with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to keep each file moving

What we’re looking for

• Licensed in Pennsylvania (New Jersey is a bonus)
• Civil litigation background, ideally in medical malpractice or personal injury
• Sharp research, writing, and analytical skills
• Curiosity about medicine and a willingness to dig into records and expert opinions
• Warmth and clarity when working with clients who are going through something difficult
• Good judgment, strong organization, and the initiative to own your assignments
• A team-first attitude, with openness to feedback and a real interest in growing as a trial lawyer
