Legal Billing Specialist

Trustpoint has an immediate opening with a prominent full-service law firm for a Billing Specialist on a temporary basis. This hybrid role supports a busy legal team with billing, administrative, and practice support responsibilities in a fast-paced law firm environment, based out of their Midtown office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and monitor client invoices and billing activities
• Produce correspondence, legal documents, pleadings, letters, and other administrative materials
• Organize and maintain calendars, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys, including the Practice Chair
• Develop and maintain databases, contact lists, and electronic and manual filing systems
• Prepare reports, presentations, and other administrative documents
• Maintain litigation files and assist with document management
• Provide coverage and administrative support for other staff as needed
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Perform additional billing, administrative, and practice support duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Administrative assistant and/or accounts receivable or billing experience required; legal environment preferred
• Experience with legal billing (required)
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment while supporting multiple attorneys and competing priorities
• Experience with SurePoint and NetDocuments (NetDocs) highly preferred
• All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time

Details:

• Hybrid schedule, subject to business needs
• Temporary opportunity covering a leave of absence
• Assignment duration is currently unknown and will depend on business needs
• Significant overtime required, typically 1015 hours per week beyond standard business hours
• Evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines
• Up to $35/hour, commensurate with experience

The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to the workplace. They should be comfortable jumping in to support teammates and managing high-volume billing and administrative responsibilities in a collaborative law firm environment.
