Payroll Accountant

Cardinal of Minnesota, Ltd. is seeking a self-driven, disciplined, full-time benefit eligible Payroll Accountant to complement our team! This is a non-exempt position working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Flexibility is required based on payroll processing calendar.Cardinal of Minnesota, Ltd. was founded in 1995 and specializes in providing community living in a family setting for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cardinal operates In-Home services and over 40 residential group homes in Minnesota, serving 240 clients and a workforce of approximately 435 employees. Cardinal operates in the following communities: Rochester, Winona, Austin, La Crescent, Red Wing, Spring Valley, Harmony and Bemidji.We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to assist with the following payroll functions: Calculation of employee paychecks by processing and editing timecardsProcess employment verification, new hires, third party sick time, etc. Review, evaluate, and assess the accuracy of all payroll calculations, including all payroll deductions related to employee benefits (i.e., insurance, 401(k), etc.) and garnishmentsApply payroll principlesMaintain current excel worksheets and update graphs as applicableRespond to employee questions regarding their payWork closely with Accountants and Human ResourcesGenerate accurate payroll reportsOther duties as assignedCompliments of the Nest.We're all about providing the perks and benefits to make work fulfilling, life easier, and both of them a lot more balanced.
