Classification:    Full-time; Exempt

Summary / Job Objective:  Simplicity Securities is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a fee billing and payment processing role that will support our independent financial advisors.  The candidate will be responsible for implementing the monthly account billing and advisor payment processes within a rapidly growing organization.  She or he will work in a small team environment and will work directly with our financial advisors to manage and implement their client fee structures.  Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with the CFO and the leadership team to continuously improve all billing/payment processes as the company scales.   The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, self-driven, service-oriented team player capable of working independently and collaborating effectively in a team environment.

Essential Job Functions:  Critical factors for success will include professionalism, a strong work ethic, effective communication skills, excellence in critical/structured thinking, consistent delivery of high-quality work products in a timely manner, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining an uncompromising attention to detail.  Candidates with experience processing fees for client accounts using Orion or a similar system would be beneficial.

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Prepare all monthly client billing and advisor payout schedules and implement payment processes working closely with the Operations and Finance Departments (accounts payable)

·       Maintain database of affiliated advisor’s billing schedules

·       Collaborate with our Sales team and Advisor Onboarding group to implement fee and billing schedules for new advisors/advisor teams   

·       Address fee and billing inquiries directly with financial advisors

·       Develop ad hoc billing/fee reports to assist leadership in managing revenue streams and business profitability

·       Define and execute initiatives in coordination with our IT and Operations teams to improve our account billing and advisor payment processes as we scale our business

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field strongly preferred

·       3-5 years’ experience in same/similar role(s)

·       Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis/querying

·       Experience with Orion billing system (or a comparable advisor billing system) preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation (based on experience)

• Annual base salary: $75,000 - $90,000, exempt
• Annual performance bonus target: 10%
