Position Overview It Takes a Village Family of Schools, in partnership with the Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP), is proud to offer the IYIP Clerk Apprenticeship Program. This paid apprenticeship provides participants with hands-on experience in financial administration, data management, and organizational operations within an educational environment. Responsibilities Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic as a contributing team member Complete tasks assigned by the Chief Financial Officer with accuracy and attention to detail Maintain confidentiality of financial and student information at all times Demonstrate growth in workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, and accountability Fulfill all program requirements, including Illinois WorkNet and Casey Life skills Job Duties Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial and administrative records Support the organization and filing of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical records Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and financial tracking documents Provide administrative support, including copying, printing, and preparing materials Support internal communication across departments as needed Assist with distributing and collecting forms or documentation Perform general office support tasks as assigned What You'll Gain Paid apprenticeship experience Industry-recognized credentials: Google Suite Certificate & Employment 101 Mentorship & career coaching: resume preparation, interview skills, and professional development Hands-on experience in financial administration, data management, and office operations Opportunities to build transferrable professional skills and advance your career Why Join Us Impact: Make a significant difference in the lives of children and families in the communities we serve. Employment Details Job Location: ITAV Leadership Academy in Bronzeville - Chicago, IL 60615 Salary Range: $17.05 - $17.05 Hourly Salary: $17.05 per hour Job Type: Part-Time Please note: This is a temporary position funded by Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP) through August 31, 2026, with the possibility of an extension based on grant funding.
