CFO Position

A leading private alternative investment manager has an immediate opening for a Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance and accounting function. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior finance professional to work directly with firm leadership, build scalable infrastructure, and play a key role in the firm’s continued growth.

Job Description:
- Lead financial operations, accounting, and reporting across the firm’s investment entities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Manage financial statements, consolidations, and investment-level accounting
- Oversee fund administration, capital accounts, distributions, and investor activity
- Direct treasury operations, cash forecasting, and liquidity management
- Lead tax planning and compliance in coordination with external advisors
- Oversee investor reporting and financial information requests
- Manage relationships with auditors, fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers
- Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls
- Partner with senior leadership on financial analysis, strategic initiatives, and new investment structures
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Public and private accounting experience preferred
- CPA required
- Experience within a hedge fund, alternative asset manager, private equity firm, or similar investment environment
- Strong knowledge of fund accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and investment structures
- Experience with multi-entity investment platforms
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and partnership/fund accounting
- Experience overseeing external service providers and auditors
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Proven ability to build processes and operate effectively in a lean environment
