Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' needs and create personalized treatment plans that resonate with their unique goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families, applying modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups, allowing clients to share their experiences and foster a sense of community in a safe online environment.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care for clients, optimizing outcomes for every individual.
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients in need of immediate support during mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, therapeutic techniques, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other legal standards, using our electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Actively engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that foster personal and professional growth.
• Remain updated with current mental health research, innovations, and best practices, integrating new knowledge into therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Comprehensive Life Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. Our clientele may present with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma-related issues, and other emotional concerns. Your therapeutic skills will play a vital role in helping them overcome personal challenges while enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy to varied populations, enhancing the therapeutic experience for clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a supportive environment for clients during their therapeutic journeys.
• Integrity, sound judgment, and adherence to professional ethics and boundaries.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
• A collaborative spirit to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to achieve client success.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth setting, with a solid understanding of virtual communication tools and platforms.
• Prior work experience with trauma-informed care, which is instrumental in providing sensitive support to clients.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies and techniques to aid during emergency situations.

Compensation and Benefits
