Job Description: Tomball Controls is seeking a detail-oriented Saw Operator to cut and prepare metal materials for fabrication and assembly. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate cuts, maintaining equipment, and supporting shop operations in a safe and efficient manner. Operate band saws and other cutting equipment to cut metal materials to specified dimensions Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and cut lists Measure and verify material sizes to ensure accuracy Load/unload materials and stage for fabrication or assembly Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE Assist with general shop duties as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience operating saws or similar shop equipment preferred Ability to read tape measures and basic drawings Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical tasks Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a team environment Experience in fabrication, industry, or controls environment Familiarity with different metals and cutting techniques Prolonged periods of working outdoors.
