Key Responsibilities For The Cost Accountant Manage cost accounting transactions and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Analyze inventory valuation, cycle counts, and cost accuracy to prevent write-offs. Support operational teams with cost reduction analysis and financial insights. Prepare and update standard costs and cost rolls across manufacturing processes. Assist with P&Ls, forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting. Lead physical inventory counts and support ERP system enhancements. Qualifications For The Cost Accountant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 4+ years of Cost Accountant experience in a manufacturing environment.
