About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented analyst to join a dynamic oil and gas operating environment. In this role, you will contribute to executing advanced accounts payable activities, resolving discrepancies in procurement-to-pay workflows, and ensuring financial accuracy through reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed analysis of accounts payable transactions, focusing on goods receipt (GR) and invoice receipt (IR) imbalances. Investigate discrepancies across procurement, receiving, and invoicing data to ensure accurate three-way matching. Proactively monitor and resolve blocked invoices within SAP and OpenInvoice environments. Review and validate tax treatment for self-remittance in Texas, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3–7 years of accounts payable or finance experience, preferably within oil & gas or a similar complex industry. Hands-on experience with SAP and OpenInvoice. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in discrepancy resolution.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Experience supporting upstream or midstream oil & gas operations. Knowledge of self-assessed tax environments and jurisdictional compliance. Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Platform, Alteryx, or similar).
