Noncertified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I

The Noncertified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist I (CVIS I) reports to the operations Coordinator (Outpatient Clinic Manager) and the Nurse Manager of the Heart and Vascular Service Line. Under limited supervision, the CVIS I assists physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena specializing in the care of patients undergoing basic diagnostic catheterization and interventional procedures.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience required. Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). ARRT registration in interventional radiology required within 1 year in position. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
