Location: Auburn/ Roseville

Pay: $62.65 – $82.84/hr

Position Requirements: Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted license as a mental health professional in the state of employment, as well as a valid CPR card, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a clinical setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred. Must have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, and mental health program development.

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Director of Nursing (DON), and Mental Health Director and/or Psychiatrist, the Mental Health Coordinator is responsible for serving as liaison in relation to all mental health services provided within the facility.

Physical Demands: Must have the physical and mental capacity to work in an environment that may be less than pristine, and manage and maintain physical and mental health when encountering stressful situations.

1. Use knowledge and expertise to ensure that processes and systems are followed appropriately according to policies and procedures, company performance, and accreditation standards.
2. Work cohesively with the HSA, DON and Mental Health Director and/or Psychiatrist in the coordination of the mental health care delivery system, as well as other functions within the facility.
3. Use all functions and applications of the EHR relevant to the position with no supervision, and assist with staff training as requested.

8. Oversee scheduling of all mental health staff, to include schedule development and maintenance of required shift coverage, paid time off (PTO) coordination, call-offs due to illness or personal emergency.

10. Coordinate mental health staff programming, to include staff development and training, scheduling, curriculum development, and implementation of mental health services.

13. Perform mental health sick call, screenings, and evaluations as needed to ensure clinical timeliness.

15. Assist with evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the mental health services, oversight of the mental health CQI program, and assist in developing systems to ensure and monitor patient care and safety.
