Claims Risk Management Information System Consultant

Overview The RMIS Consultant role is focused on providing system and customer support. Under technical direction, the consultant manages the pricing, presentation, delivery, installation, training and support for online Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS), loss reports, and other client service delivery. The position interacts with senior personnel of customers and brokers including Risk and Claim Managers and Chief Financial Officers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Identify customer needs and opportunities for RMIS services and deliver innovative solutions. Price renewal services using pricing models and negotiate pricing as required. Document and resolve service issues, including complex problems. Act as a technical resource and provide training to staff and others. Maintain an external focus as a contact for assigned accounts to resolve all post‑sale implementation and service issues. Manage customer inquiries and issues about products or services. Develop strong client relationships by providing quality service. Continuously learn new trends and developments within functional areas and the insurance industry. Report to a Manager or higher. Reporting Relationship Reports to a Manager or above. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong technical expertise and independent judgment to manage business relationships with customers, Claims, Underwriting, Billing and Risk Control business units. Insurance industry knowledge, especially in specialty areas that affect business development and opportunity assessment. Strong knowledge of RMIS products and their complex features and capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external partners. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Results‑oriented with the ability to implement tactical strategies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business‑related software. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Typically a minimum of four years of related claims, system support or client‑relationship experience. Compensation In certain jurisdictions, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
