Job Description

A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) passionate about supporting students in secondary grades. Part-time SLP services are required for the upcoming 26/27 school year (August through mid-June), with a flexible schedule of 1-3 days per week, based on student enrollment. This role centers on making a meaningful difference for students in grades 8-12 near Wilmington, DE.

Your responsibilities will focus on completing speech/language evaluations, reviewing 60-day IEPs, establishing benchmarks, and actively participating in IEP meetings. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with adolescents, familiar with school processes, and confident in their ability to manage and document evaluations. Teletherapy professionals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply, as the school is open to remote arrangements for experienced SLPs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active DE SLP license and DE Department of Education certification (required)
  • Previous school-based experience, especially with writing evaluations and attending IEP meetings
  • Experience supporting pediatric and adolescent populations, ideally in grades 8-12
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credentials welcomed
  • Teletherapy experience for school-based settings (preferred if remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments for student caseload
  • Review and contribute to 60-day IEPs, set benchmarks, and track student progress
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings alongside the educational team
  • Collaborate with staff and families to support student speech and language needs

Benefits include comprehensive coverage options, and reliable weekly pay each Friday, creating a supportive and predictable work environment.

This is a chance to help shape student success while balancing life and career with a flexible schedule. Advance your impact this school year—apply now to be considered for this meaningful position!
