Marketing Manager

Reliever is the back office for youth sports. Backed and co-founded by Rally Ventures, we are building a purpose-built financial operating system for the volunteer-run nonprofit associations that power community sports across America. These organizations move hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars a year through dues, fundraisers, sponsorships, and charitable gambling, all managed by volunteers on nights and weekends. These associations carry real financial complexity: dozens of team bank accounts, contractor payments, IRS reporting and compliance obligations, and board-level fiduciary duty. Yet they are too small to afford professional financial staff, and the tools they use today were never designed for them: spreadsheets, personal QuickBooks files, email chains, and paper checks. Reliever replaces that patchwork with one platform that combines modern software, embedded banking, and professional accounting services, so every board can prove every dollar reached the kids. We are adding our first marketing hire to our Minneapolis team. You will help build the marketing strategy and execute on that strategy working closely with the CEO and small founding team. While initially a team of one, as the company evolves the marketing team will grow providing an opportunity for people leadership. Because we are an early-stage company, the role is broad. Over time you will touch brand and content, social, the website, paid channels, and product marketing. We have already adopted an AI-marketing platform, to assist with brand and messaging, as a foundation for you to build from. As a Generalist, you will not be expected to be an expert in all of it. What matters more is range, curiosity, and the drive to figure things out, with good tools and a supportive team behind you. As an AI-first company, this is an AI-first marketing role. We use tools like Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub every day, and we lean on them to do more with a small team. If you already use AI in your work, or you are eager to go deep on it, you will feel right at home. Reliever’s technology supports youth sports by giving volunteer parents their nights and weekends back and helps every board prove that every dollar reached the kids. WHAT YOU WILL DO Shape the brand and grow our audience Help define and protect the Reliever voice across everything we put out, from social posts to the website to sales decks Build our organic presence over time: LinkedIn, a weekly email to treasurers, and helpful content that earns trust Turn our research and real customer stories into content that resonates with the volunteers we serve Bring in new interest across web and paid Own the website story and the sign-up experience that anchors our funnel Start and grow paid search and paid social as we learn what works, without needing a big budget to begin Set up simple, honest reporting in HubSpot so we can see what is working and do more of it Help tell the product story Help share what is new as we launch this fall and keep shipping, working closely with product and the founding team Create the materials that help us win: one-pagers, pitch narratives, and case studies from real design partners Work in an AI-first way Use AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor to produce great work faster than a solo marketer normally could Build simple, repeatable workflows, and eventually a small team, so marketing can grow without losing quality WHAT YOU BRING You have worn a few marketing hats, maybe brand, content, social, web, paid, or product marketing. You do not need every one, but you enjoy working across areas You are comfortable using AI in your day-to-day work, or genuinely excited to learn.
