Location: San Salvador

The role involves providing support in the accounting and financial tasks of the organization. The main function is to record, classify and verify financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations, under the supervision of the accountant or the finance department, collaborating in the preparation of reports, bank reconciliations, management of accounts payable and receivable and other administrative tasks related to accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support in accounting records:
• Entry of invoices, receipts, payment receipts and other documents into the accounting system.
• Classification and coding of transactions according to the chart of accounts.
• Basic account reconciliation:
• Assistance in the reconciliation of bank accounts and accounts receivable/payable.
• Follow-up on outstanding balances and accounting differences.
• Document control:
• Organization, physical and digital filing of accounting and financial documents.
• Review that the documentation meets fiscal and accounting requirements.
• Support in accounting closing processes:
• Preparation of accounting schedules.
• Review and delivery of preliminary reports for monthly closing.
• Billing and collection:
• Issuance of invoices and follow-up on customer payments.
• Coordination with the sales or customer service area for collection management.
• Management of payments to suppliers:
• Review of received invoices.
• Preparation of payments and follow-up on due dates.
• Analysis and binding of Income
• Analysis and binding of portfolio, inventory and accounts related to the operation.

Education and Experience:

• Technical or university studies in progress or completed in Accounting, Administration, Finance or related fields.
• Valuable complementary courses or diplomas in: Basic accounting, Management of accounting systems, Current tax regulations.
• Basic knowledge in: Accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS, depending on the country), Billing and retentions, Common taxes (VAT, retentions, etc.)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in similar positions (desirable, but not always exclusive).
• Entry of receipts into the accounting system
• Handling of accounting documents and filing
• Support in bank reconciliations
• Billing and management of collections or payments
• Valuable experience with:
• Accounting systems or ERP (e.g., SAP, Workday, People Soft, among others)
• Intermediate use of Excel (filters, basic formulas, pivot tables).
