About the Role
The Company is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to provide financial leadership for a mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will be an experienced executive capable of guiding long-range planning, strengthening fiscal stewardship, and partnering closely with senior leadership and the board. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, with a strong focus on forecasting, revenue planning, and risk management. This role requires a visible, collaborative presence and the ability to lead the financial strategy, including budgeting, financial modeling, and communication of financial insights to support decision-making. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a proven track record in a senior financial leadership role, particularly in a nonprofit environment. A strong background in nonprofit finance, including budgeting, reporting, and financial governance, is essential. The successful candidate will have expertise in building financial forecasts and strategic plans, especially for organizations with education-based revenue streams. Experience in working with boards, presidents, and cross-functional leaders in a diplomatic and relationship-focused manner is also required. The role demands a solid understanding of accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, and familiarity with retirement plan administration, preferably 403(b) plans. The CFO must be willing to work primarily in person and be flexible to support evening or event-based commitments as needed.
