Associate Attorney

Our practice is litigation oriented with concentrations in Environmental Law, Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse, and serious Personal Injury, on the Plaintiffs' side. Role Description The Associate Attorney will work on-site in Spartanburg, SC, in a full-time capacity, in litigation preparation and ultimately trial assistance. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling depositions, drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, researching law, and ultimately assisting with hearings and trials, with guidance by senior attorneys. Qualifications Experience preferred, particularly in litigation or litigation preparation, but will consider recent law graduates. Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations. Ability to handle depositions, hearings, and ultimately assist in trials. Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients. Proficient in legal Research, including use of legal databases and preparation of memoranda. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license, or eligibility for prompt admission, to practice law in South Carolina. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong drafting and presentation abilities. High level of professionalism, ethical judgment, and attention to detail, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
