This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys practicing employment law, handling sophisticated matters, and working directly with clients.Position OverviewThe attorney will handle a broad range of employment law matters and will have the opportunity to take ownership of cases from initial evaluation through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, excellent legal writing abilities, and a practical, client-focused approach.ResponsibilitiesHandle employment law matters from inception through resolutionRepresent clients in employment-related litigation and disputesConduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documentsManage discovery, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparationAdvise clients regarding employment-related laws, policies, and workplace disputesAnalyze claims involving wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other employment mattersDevelop case strategies and communicate recommendations to clientsWork closely with attorneys and support staff to efficiently manage a caseloadMaintain strong client relationships and provide responsive, practical legal adviceQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in SC2+ years of employment law experienceStrong litigation and legal research/writing skillsExperience handling employment disputes from inception through resolution preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to independently manage matters while working effectively as part of a teamOpportunityThis position provides the opportunity to work on a diverse range of employment matters while developing strong litigation and client-management skills.
