Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse - $2,285 per week (Hiring Immediately)

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Telemetry (TELE) Nurse Day Shift Location Pending. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit within an acute care setting. The role requires ongoing assessment and management of patients with cardiac and other medical conditions, including interpretation of EKGs and titration of medications. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (American Heart Association), minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, active Illinois license or confirmed application process, and familiarity with telemetry equipment. Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Shifts available are from 0700 to 1930 and 1900 to 0730, with every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation. Responsibilities include patient assessment, EKG interpretation, medication titration (e.g., Cardizem and Heparin), troubleshooting telemonitoring equipment, and responding to cardiac and medical emergencies. Additional Information: RNs are required to read and interpret their own strips on Phillips monitors and perform duties related to respiratory support devices such as Cpap and Bipap when necessary. Float to other general medical units may be required; scrub color is flexible but should avoid children or cartoon prints. Orientation typically involves at least one shift, especially for those new to the facility.
