Experience: Prefer PACU/ICU experience

Hourly Rate: $65.66

Provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to adult and geriatric patients in a 8-bay outpatient unit

Manage patient admissions, assessments, and discharges following surgical or procedural care

Monitor and respond to patient needs during Phase I and Phase II recovery

Assist in the OR when required, supporting surgical team members

Maintain accurate documentation within Cerner EMR

Communicate effectively with team members and patients to ensure safe, patient-centered care

Uphold infection control and safety protocols

Required:

• Active RN license in the state of Vermont
• Strong assessment, IV, and patient education skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in PACU or ICU preferred

Preferred:

• Prior outpatient or same-day surgery experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

About the Assignment This role is based in the same-day surgery center of a leading healthcare facility in Windsor, VT. The unit provides outpatient procedures for patients age 16 and older, with a focus on efficient, compassionate recovery from anesthesia. The RN will primarily handle PACU responsibilities but may step into the OR to assist as needed. The department features two operating rooms and a procedure room, focused on delivering outpatient surgical care smoothly and safely.
