Associate Scientist - T- USA

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Associate Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA, 92121. Details of the position are as follows: Job Description Pay: $33.00-$36.00/hr to start! 18‑month contract position will the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance. Onsite position in San Diego, CA, Monday‑Friday. Position will mainly be responsible for planning and executing genotyping experiments for genetically modified mice, performing genetic characterization of new and breeding mouse lines, and accurately documenting, analyzing, and reporting experimental data. Responsibilities also include supporting the development, implementation, and optimization of genetic characterization methods, maintaining laboratory operations, organizing equipment, ordering laboratory consumables, and ensuring proper equipment upkeep. Position will also be responsible for providing high‑quality in vitro and in vivo laboratory support, collaborating across the GEMs team, and assisting with additional research activities to support overall team objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree is required! 2‑4 years relevant hands‑on laboratory experience is required! Molecular biology experience is required. Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing PCR‑based assays, and qPCR methodologies is required. Strong knowledge of mouse model systems, transgene structures, inducible knockout models is preferred.
