Job Title: GDS Systems Administrator (mid-to-senior)

Crossflow Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator providing direct-user support in Linux lab. The selected applicant will build, operate and maintain a private Linux enclave for Research and Development, Modeling and Simulation execution in a fully-cyber-compliant configuration. The selected candidate will build and demonstrate cyber-compliant ownership for the domain, providing all layers of user support, group and account management; domain administration, patching, updates and application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security controls; troubleshoot and repair software and hardware problems; and work with a ticketing system. They will work with enclave users to develop technical solutions and engage in technical solutioning to interesting technology problems.

The buildup of this R&D enclave requires a cyber approval. The selected candidate will be teamed with an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to write the cyber package needed to seek and obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) via the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Documentation writing and regular updating is a requirement for this position. This is a full-time on-site position.

The selected candidate is required to have an active cyber security certification such as a CompTIA Security+ or greater, as well as a Linux Computing Environment (CE) certification. The operating environment is expected to implement containerization technology. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing an environment for containerization. Where certifications could be required, Crossflow Technologies provides support for employee training, certification and education. This position is a fully on-site, non-telework role.

Required:

• Minimum 8 years Systems Administration experience
• Cyber Certification – CompTIA Security+ or other DoD recognized certification
• Linux Computing Environment Certification
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a range of IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations and network devices.
• STIG implementation, patching and hardening

Desirable Experience:

• Windows systems administration
• Virtualized Environments such as VMWare ESX
• Network Administration
• Host Based Security System (HBSS) implementation
• Implementation of Cyber scans such as ACAS and SCAP
• Containerized environments

GENEROUS PTO ACCRUAL & FLEXIBLE LEAVE POLICY
Crossflow currently grants 11 federally observed paid holidays. In addition to these holidays, Crossflow offers a minimum of 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) to all full-time employees. Employees may utilize PTO for any reason (sickness, vacation, personal day, etc.) and can carry over a maximum of 120 hours from year to year. Many employees are authorized to work additional hours within a normal, forty-hour pay period. This approval is included in the employee's offer letter for employment.
