Development Design ManagerThe Development Design Manager is responsible for creating site designs for a regional market consistent with the company's brand standards, while adhering to cost, schedule, and operational requirements. This position manages 40-50 projects annually. The position manages consultants and coordinates with in-house Real Estate, Construction Managers, and Operations on the real estate development process.Job Responsibilities:Create site designs that meet company standards within a regional market; manages 40 – 50 projects annually.Review/analyze due diligence information as the basis for developing preliminary site plan designs.Successfully negotiating with regulatory agencies to uphold Panda's brand standards.Coordinate with architectural and civil consultants to develop preliminary planning submittal packages for city review and approval.Hire and supervise outside consultant's work in terms of cost and quality of the construction documents.Present designs to internal leadership team (RESAC), operations, regulatory agencies, and landlords.Partner with Construction and Real Estate to successfully manage regional store development pipeline.Exhibit leadership on triad calls and demonstrates drive for results.How We Reward You:Hybrid Work schedule401K with company matchYearly bonus opportunity*Full medical, dental, and vision insuranceOn-site fitness center, biometric screen, and flu shot clinicDiscounts at Panda restaurants, theme parks, and gym membershipsPaid time off starting at 15 days with 7 federal holidays*Continuous education assistance and scholarships*Income protection including Disability, Life and AD&D insurance*Bereavement leave**Benefits available for eligible permanent full time associatesYour Background and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or related fieldMinimum seven years of architectural and construction experience, in a retail/hospitality environmentExperience preparing and managing development projects, including: specific plans, zoning code amendments, design standards, construction documents, and all necessary entitlementsSuccessful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.Pay Range: M2: $112,500 - $158,000 / Annual*Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.Panda Strong since 1983:Founded in Glendale, California, we are now the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in America.
