We’re looking for an experienced  Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in  Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care to support patients in Wakefield and surrounding Rhode Island communities.

What You’ll Do

As a MinuteClinic Nurse Practitioner, you’ll work alongside a dedicated clinical care team to deliver accessible, patient-centered care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide comprehensive primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Manage acute and chronic health conditions using evidence-based practices.
• Perform routine examinations and diagnostic testing.
• Provide preventive care, health screenings, wellness education, and chronic disease management.
• Counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices and encourage active participation in their healthcare.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
• Support patient appointments, follow-ups, insurance verification, and other clinic operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.
• Practice autonomously while collaborating with a supportive clinical care team.

Flexible Float Opportunity

The primary location is  Wakefield, RI , with potential float coverage at nearby MinuteClinic locations, including:

• Cranston
• Providence
• Woonsocket
• North Smithfield
• East Greenwich

Occasional travel to other locations may be required.

Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week , with flexibility within clinic operating hours:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM

Weekend and holiday rotations may apply. The position may require working approximately 3 out of every 6 weekends .

⭐ What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience in  Family Medicine, Primary Care, or Urgent Care .
• Master's degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification.
• Current Rhode Island APRN/NP license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification from  AHA or American Red Cross .
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative clinical environment.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure as needed.

Primary Care or Urgent Care experience is required. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
