MEDICAL ASSISTANT – INSTRUCTOR – EVENINGS (MONDAY-THURSDAY) Job Location: Saginaw, MI – Campus based position Evening Classes: M-TH 5:30-10 Responsibilities Teach in the Medical Assisting classroom with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills. Deliver lectures and demonstrations using Ross lesson plans and curriculum. Maintain class sessions of 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions. Conduct primary scheduled teaching and act as secondary instructor or substitute as needed. Assist with teaching support in PRN capacity for teaching assistants and substitutes. Perform related work as required. Qualifications 3+ years’ experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant; individuals without formal education must have at least 5+ years of experience working in the medical field and hold a national certification. Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience. Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the building, and facilitate student participation. Visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use whiteboard and classroom equipment. Proficiency with current technology to maintain student records. Effective communication skills in classroom and individual settings. Knowledge of teaching materials and Ross curriculum. Adaptability to a fast‑paced work environment. Ability to achieve or maintain credentials/ licensure within expected time frames.Professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct. Ability to treat all students equally and remain objective. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Commitment to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics. Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum is preferred.
