Staff Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a direct hire opportunity in Las Vegas, NV within the financial services industry. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, hands-on general ledger experience, and the ability to support accurate financial reporting in a deadline-driven environment. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and play an important role in maintaining financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close, preparing reports, and helping strengthen accounting processes and internal controls. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working with leadership, collaborating across accounting functions, and contributing to a stable, professional finance team. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile bank accounts, and maintain accurate general ledger records. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including financial reporting and account analysis. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed. Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit support. Help ensure compliance with GAAP policies while identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $68,000 to $80,000 per year.
