Accountant

A growing company in High Point, NC is looking to add an Entry-Level Accountant to its expanding accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to get their feet wet, build a strong foundation, and be part of something that is growing. While Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable will be a major focus of the position, this role will have the opportunity to get involved in much more than day-to-day transactions. As the company continues to grow and add new entities, this person will play an important role in helping the accounting team keep things organized, accurate, and running smoothly. What You'll Be Doing Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable , including processing invoices, coding expenses, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments Support Accounts Receivable , including invoicing, payment application, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances Assist with bank, credit card, vendor, and customer account reconciliations Help with monthly close and other general accounting activities Maintain accurate and organized financial records Assist with accounting activities related to new entities as the company continues to expand Help identify ways to make accounting processes more efficient and effective Work closely with other members of the accounting and operations teams Assist with special projects and other accounting initiatives as the business grows Take on additional responsibilities over time as your skills and experience develop What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 0-2 years of accounting experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply Internship or previous experience with AP, AR, bookkeeping, or general accounting is a plus Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Comfortable working with numbers and financial information Organized and able to manage multiple priorities Good communication skills and a willingness to ask questions Someone who is dependable, curious, and eager to learn A team-oriented personality with the ability to jump in and help wherever needed Why Consider This Opportunity?
