The Organization
Our client is a well-established acute care hospital and medical center serving the Pomona Valley and surrounding communities. This position supports the hospital’s Admitting and Patient Access team, the first point of contact for patients arriving for care.

Schedule
Full-time, 5 shifts per week. Available shifts:

• 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

The Position
The Patient Access Representative registers patients for admission and hospital services, making sure every patient’s information, insurance, and paperwork are accurate and complete. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and enjoys helping people.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and complete admission and registration in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information with a high degree of accuracy
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required consents and signatures
• Scan identification, insurance cards, and documents into the patient record
• Answer questions and direct patients to the appropriate department
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of patient registration experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Availability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
• Must pass a pre-employment exam
