Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist within a dynamic school setting near Des Plaines, IL. This role is an excellent fit for SLPs seeking to make a direct impact through assessment, intervention, and collaborative teamwork, including those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Pediatric experience, comfort with teletherapy, and familiarity with school-based service delivery will be valuable assets.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid SLP license for Illinois or eligible for state licensure
- Experience in school-based, healthcare, pediatric, or teletherapy settings highly preferred
- Open to both seasoned professionals and CFY candidates
- Strong communication, organization, and IEP documentation abilities
- Demonstrated ability to provide therapy across diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide individualized speech-language therapy services for students according to their IEP goals
- Serve one or more school sites in the district in an itinerant capacity, with paid travel as required
- Collaborate cooperatively with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain accurate records in the district’s IEP system (training provided)
- Contribute to indirect services, such as admin time and team meetings
