Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Cypress, Florida. The center features state-of-the-art facilities designed to facilitate optimal patient rehabilitation. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals, allowing for a comprehensive approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients to determine functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based treatment methodologies, including therapeutic exercises and modalities, focusing on the orthopedic needs of patients.
• Consult with other healthcare providers regarding patient progress and the continuum of care.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
• Engage in ongoing communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care and effective discharge planning.
• Participate in community outreach programs and leadership functions aimed at continuous quality improvement and marketing.
• Support the training and supervision of staff, including physical therapy assistants, aides, and students.
• Maintain and enhance professional competence through continued education and hands-on training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with adult patients recovering from surgeries such as total joint replacements, fractures, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise and compassionate approach will significantly influence their recovery journey, promoting independence and improved functionality.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and must have an active license to practice as a physical therapist in the state of Florida. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and the ability to engage with diverse patient populations will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
