Key Responsibilities:

- Explain medical bills to patients, process payments, set up payment plans, and resolve billing disputes efficiently.

- Verify insurance benefits and check coverage eligibility.

- Serve as the primary communication point between patients, physicians, and management team to facilitate clear and effective information exchange.

- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), billing data, and patient documentation while strictly adhering to HIPAA privacy standards.

- Assist patients in understanding out-of-pocket costs and treatment options.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare finance.

- Strong knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams.

- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records.

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, customer service, or revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, medical billing software, and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance claims processing, and HIPAA compliance.
• Strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
