Assistant Project Manager

Job Title: Assistant Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our smaller projects, primarily located at the Smithsonian Zoo. This role is ideal for individuals with 2-4 years of construction experience, preferably from a general contractor, or those holding a degree in Construction Management. Responsibilities Assist with submittals and Requests for Information (RFI). Learn and complete daily reports. Support project management tasks including project coordination and change orders. Engage in design, commercial construction, and estimation processes. Participate in project engineering and mechanical engineering tasks. Essential Skills 2-4 years of construction experience or a degree in Construction Management. Knowledge of RFIs and submittals. Strong communication skills. Technical proficiency in project management and construction management. Experience with construction programming/software. Additional Skills & Qualifications College courses in Construction Management. Familiarity with cloud-based office environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crofton, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.26/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
