By delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, you will make a meaningful difference every day--helping patients overcome challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health status and develop individualized treatment plans.Provide medication management and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications to address patients' mental health needs.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients.Offer counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups.Monitor patients' progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication records.Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and participate in continuing education to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.Average 28 patient-facing hours weekly after month 3 of employment.Additional duties as assigned at any time with or without advanced notice.Requirements:3+ years of experience in providing psychiatric care to individuals.Master's degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from an accredited program.Current and unrestricted Washington Nurse Practitioner license.Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from a recognized certifying body.Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment modalities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software.Certificates/Licenses:Successfully pass background check applicable to position.Maintain current Washington State ARNP license.Possess and maintain current DEA registration.Register as an agency affiliated counselor or obtain behavioral health credential through Washington State Department of Health within 60 days of employment, as required by WAC 246-341.Working Conditions:None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).Physical Requirements:Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
