Labor and Employment Associate

Overview A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to support its OSHA-focused practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves advising on workplace safety compliance, enforcement matters, and related litigation within a nationally recognized practice. Responsibilities Advise clients on OSHA and MSHA compliance and enforcement matters. Represent clients in workplace safety investigations and related litigation. Manage on-site inspections and interact with regulatory agencies. Handle litigation tasks including depositions, discovery, and motion practice. Support whistleblower defense matters and related proceedings. Collaborate with legal teams on case strategy and client advisement. Qualifications 3 to 6 years of experience in OSHA, MSHA, environmental, or whistleblower matters. Experience in compliance, enforcement, and related litigation. Litigation experience preferred, including depositions, discovery, and motions. Strong academic credentials and professional work ethic. Admission to the relevant state bar or eligibility for admission. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction or eligibility to obtain admission. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage complex regulatory and litigation matters. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
