This full-time, onsite position in the Portland, ME area is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting K-12 students, particularly those utilizing or in need of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. You’ll work in a collaborative educational environment focused on fostering student growth and communication skills.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Maine SLP License and Educator Certification
• Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPs)
• Experience with AAC systems highly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration and family communication
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload of students across elementary, middle, and high school grades

Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting evaluations and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Providing direct therapy to students, with a focus on those who use or would benefit from AAC devices
• Collaborating with teachers, aides, and other school staff to enhance student outcomes
• Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
• Engaging families and caregivers in student support and progress updates
