Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. Work on-site near the Portland and Scarborough, ME areas for the entire 26/27 academic year. Make a direct impact on students who use or could benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, helping them thrive academically and socially.

Key Qualifications:

• Holds an active Maine SLP License and current Educator Certification
• Experience working with K-12 student populations
• Expertise or strong interest in AAC and supporting students with communication needs
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLPs
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Role Highlights:

• Deliver direct speech/language therapy to a diverse caseload of elementary, middle, and high school students
• Assess, implement, and monitor AAC systems for students with complex communication needs
• Develop individualized intervention plans and progress reports
• Consult and collaborate with classroom staff, special educators, and families to ensure optimal support
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide guidance on best practices, and document services according to state guidelines
