Maintenance Crew LeaderThe Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising and training crew members, ensuring that all maintenance and landscaping tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This role combines leadership, hands-on field work, project coordination, and client communication to deliver high-quality results and exceptional customer service.Core ValuesCulture of Safety – Safety is always job #1A Growing Tradition Plants, Personally, Financially and ProfessionallyEmployee Owned – Personal Pride in Success with an Owners MentalityExceptional Customer Experience – Delighting our Clients with our Products and ServicesGood Neighbors – Community Pride – Sharing our SuccessRespectability – Treating Others as we want to be treatedDuties/ResponsibilitiesSupervise, train, and mentor crew members in landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.Perform and oversee landscaping and maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, mulching, planting, pruning, irrigation, snow removal, and general property upkeep.Safely operate and maintain lawn and landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge clippers, sprayers, trucks, trailers, etc.).Ensure crew members wear proper uniforms and safety equipment (PPE) at all times.Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean, presentable, and in good working order.Serve as a point of contact between clients, supervisors, and project managers.Provide updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.Required Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of landscaping tools, equipment, and maintenance practices.Ability to operate mowers (zero-turn, push), trimmers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws, and irrigation tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Reliable transportation to and from the shop.High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in landscaping highly preferred.At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.Education and ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalent desiredPrevious outside construction, landscape, or similar field experienceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills a must6 months commercial landscape experience preferred but not requiredPhysical RequirementsRegular attendance and reliability, including the ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity).This Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising the position.Job descriptions are not intended and do not create employment contracts.
