Columbus Community Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dependable Medical Interpreter to join our Interpreter Services team. This part-time position works approximately 34 hours per week , from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., four days per week , with Friday evening call responsibilities.


The Medical Interpreter will provide professional interpretation services in both hospital and clinic settings, helping facilitate clear and effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. This role requires discretion, accuracy, and a commitment to supporting a positive patient experience.


A high school education is required . Candidates must also successfully complete and pass a medical interpreter proficiency test . Previous experience in healthcare, interpretation, or a customer-focused environment is preferred but not required.
