Title and Type Lecturer (School of Cinematic Arts) – Part‑Time Temporary Position Details Job Number: 2023‑01283 Hiring Unit: College of Arts, Languages, and Letters, School of Cinematic Arts Location: Manoa, University of Hawai‘i at Manoa Opening Date: June 26, 2023 Closing Date: Continuous Salary: Minimum $1,911 per credit hour Temporary, Non‑Tenure, contingent upon course offerings, enrollment, funding, and position clearance Duties and Responsibilities Teach various 3‑credit courses in screenwriting, film production, computer animation, and critical studies. Meet course requirements as established by the department, prepare course syllabi, grade assignments, and maintain weekly office hours. Minimum Qualifications M.A. or M.F.A. in an appropriate field or equivalent professional or teaching experience. Desirable Qualifications Ph.D. in an appropriate field or equivalent professional or teaching experience. Prior university teaching experience and/or demonstrated teaching ability.
