Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville Event Specialist Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville The Event Specialist works in collaboration with and in support of the Senior Marketing Manager and agency leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute agency events that support Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville’s mission,brandand sustainability.This roleis responsible forthe successful planning and implementation ofHabitatfundraising events, donor and partner appreciation events, home dedications, and other agency-hosted, public facing events as assigned.Additionallyresponsible forperformanceofassigned marketing and communicationsresponsibilities as assigned.

TIME REQUIREMENTS:

This position is40 hoursper week.Monday– Friday 8 a.m.– 5p.m.Afterhourand weekend availability forspecial eventsisrequiredin this role.Occasional overtime may be offered. Satisfactory attendance isrequired. Job Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS: Serve as a key ambassador for Habitat, building andmaintainingrelationships with local venues, vendors, sponsors, community partners, and Advisory Council members throughout Habitat’s five-county service area Plan, implement and evaluate agency events including Home Dedication Celebrations, Houses of Hopefundraising events, Golf Classic,SupportersHolidayBreakfastand otherspecial eventsacross the five-county service area. Coordinate staff volunteers for events and special projects. Support events relating to agency affinitybuilds including Women Build, Music Row Build, Methodist Build, UnityBuildand others as needed. Support event needs requested by Habitat for Humanity of Tennessee and other agency initiativesas approved by the Senior Vice Presidentof Marketing Manage andmaintaintheagencymarketing and communications content calendar. Assistin creating,schedulingand publishing content across agency social media platforms. Coordinate production of the monthly agency newsletter byassistingin the gathering of content from all departments, developing editorial plans,writingand editing articles, and ensuringtimelydistribution. Assistwith photography and content creation for events and communications initiatives. Coordinate with theSenior Marketing Manager andGraphic Designer and Production Manager on event-related communications materials, press releases and promotional materials. Build andmaintainrelationships with local venues, caterers, food vendors,suppliers,sponsorsand community partners. Coordinate communications and engagement activities with county Advisory Council members across the service area Serve as a Habitat representative at community events, servicefairsand partner activitiesas requested and aligned with agency goals. Assistwith build-site coverage and volunteer support as needed. Provide scheduled front desk coverage during staff breaks and lunch periods. Manage multiple projects,deadlinesand priorities simultaneously. Other duties as assigned by management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Plan, organize and implementagency fundraising and donor recognitionevents under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager and in coordination with respective Habitat department leaders Possesses strong relationship-building skills with community partners, venues, vendors,sponsorsand stakeholders. Coordinate and collaborate effectively with Advisory Council members and volunteers across a five-county service area for local event needs. Communicateprofessionally and effectively with donors, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, community leaders, Advisory Council members and agency staff. Utilizea computerand associated software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,Salesforceand Teams, in performing the job functions. Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability towritearticles, social media content,newslettersand promotional materials. Workcollaboratively across departments while independently managing assigned projects from conception through completion. Workwell independently on several projects concurrently and successfully manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Demonstrate strongorganizational, projectmanagementand creative thinking skills. Travel throughout the five-county service area. Commitment to Habitat’s mission,valuesand fundraising goals. Regular and reliable attendancerequired. Ability tolift upto 20 pounds with assistance. Mustpossessa valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: College degree preferred; extensive work experience may be substituted. 3or moreyears of experience in marketing, communications, development,special events, publicrelationsor related fields strongly preferred. Strong writing,editingand storytelling skills. Proficiencywith Microsoft Word,Exceland PowerPoint; ability to learn Salesforce or similar CRM systemsand Adobe Ability to bring energy, creativity and community relationsexpertisethatpositivelyimpactssponsors,donorsand partners.
