This fully remote role focuses on handling administrative charges, demand letters, and employment litigation for a variety of firm clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). Working under the guidance of partners and alongside other skilled attorneys and paralegals, the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in employment law, working with administrative agencies, and handling civil litigation in federal and state courts. In this position, your work will primarily involve the tactical aspects of cases with less of a need to attend in-person depositions, hearings, conferences, or trials. This role will focus on efficient, high-quality legal work with a more flexible billable hours target and work/life balance, and no business development pressure or sourcing your own work, allowing you to concentrate on providing exceptional legal services without the burden of non-billable hour demands. Expertise in handling employment law matters and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential. Additional qualifications include having a JD from an ABA accredited law school, at least five years of experience in employment law and litigation, and active bar membership in good standing. Preferred qualifications include experience practicing in a law firm, experience with matters covered by EPLI, and having bar admission in California, Washington, or Arizona. The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 – $165,000, with actual base pay determined by factors such as the selected billable hours target, experience, skills, and qualifications.
