Senior Accountant (Remote - PST Hours)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is supporting a client seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a fully remote contract basis. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a fast-paced organization in the SaaS/FinTech space, supporting critical accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial analysis, and audit readiness initiatives.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a complex environment, has strong ownership of the general ledger, and brings experience working within public company, SaaS, or FinTech organizations.

Position Details:

• Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere in the U.S.)
• Hours: 40 hours per week, aligned to PST business hours
• Duration: October 26, 2026 April 23, 2027
• Compensation: Up to $135/hour
• Interview Process: Two rounds (Video Interview and Panel Interview)

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full month-end general ledger close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, and account reconciliations.
• Perform detailed flux and variance analysis, identifying trends and explaining material fluctuations.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls while ensuring audit-ready documentation and compliance.
• Review accounting work performed by team members and provide guidance and mentorship as needed.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Analyze large data sets and create meaningful reporting using advanced Excel functions.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, Operations, and business stakeholders to support accounting initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience owning the full month-end close process.
• Strong general ledger accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables
• XLOOKUP
• INDEX/MATCH
• Large dataset analysis
• Extensive experience with NetSuite.
• Expertise in:
• Complex account reconciliations
• Accrual accounting
• Prepaid accounting
• Variance and flux analysis
• Experience maintaining internal controls and audit documentation.
• Previous leadership, review, or mentoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA designation.
• Big 4 public accounting background.
• Experience within SaaS and/or FinTech organizations.
• BlackLine experience.
• Experience with expense management platforms such as:
• Concur
• Expensify
• Divvy/BILL Spend & Expense

The successful candidate will bring a combination of corporate accounting expertise and experience working in a dynamic, high-growth environment. Candidates with backgrounds in public companies, SaaS organizations, FinTech companies, or Big 4 public accounting firms are highly preferred.
