Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 5 - Charting system experience preferred Description: The nursing team cares for adult patients who are acutely ill with a variety of medical problems. The patient population includes cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary, and more. As a registered nurse in this unit, you will be accountable for the coordination of direct patient care and education. Responsibilities include managing various medical conditions such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and chronic lung diseases. You will be expected to perform advanced patient care techniques including acute respiratory management and telemetry monitoring. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for providing comprehensive patient support. Regular tasks will also involve patient education and maintaining effective communication with families. Support from physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy is available. The unit has a strong focus on providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
