Regional Operations Director (ROD)

Overview We are seeking an inspiring and motivated Regional Operations Director to oversee approximately 7-10 dialysis centers and a team of 200+ teammates across a dual-market portfolio (Houston and West Texas). This role is based in Houston and includes oversight of local Houston clinics and the West Texas region. The Regional Operations Director will provide strategic and tactical leadership, counsel, and direction to field management to ensure safe, efficient, therapeutic, and ethical patient care. This role carries complete accountability for an estimated $30M–$50M P&L. Location & Geographic Scope Base Location: Houston, TX (required). Geographic Scope: Houston clinics and the West Texas Market (Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, and San Angelo). Travel Requirements Monthly travel to the West Texas region, typically 3 days to visit all clinics. Available for moderate travel (25%-50% overnight). Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire a team of approximately 10–12 direct reports, fostering a culture dedicated to quality and compliant patient care. Identify and develop strategic growth opportunities, monitor division performance, and partner with the Divisional Vice President or SVP to develop competitive strategies aligned with DaVita’s mission. Address top growth priorities and patient census; lead successful operational conversions for acquisitions. Full P&L responsibility; manage labor budgets, financial revenue growth, and contract management. Review and analyze gaps in service excellence, policies, and procedures; implement proactive solutions to drive key metrics and clinical outcomes. Maintain expert knowledge of the competitive landscape; proactively assess SWOT for the division. Qualifications Proven experience in multi‑site operational leadership (healthcare experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to manage a large‑scale P&L ($30M+). Strong leadership skills with experience managing 10+ direct reports and large frontline teams. Ability to travel monthly for multi‑day site visits.
